Boll weevil colonization patterns in cotton fields

Problem:

Boll weevil colonization patterns in cotton fields (with S. Greenberg and J. Norman).

Objective: Assess how in-season (and even pre-emptive) sprays – including malathion - can be most economical; and refine modes of sampling for boll weevils
Approach: In order to assess how in-season (and even pre-emptive) sprays – including malathion - can be most economical; and to refine modes of sampling for boll weevils by examining damage to squares, damage to squares, fallen squares, and adult boll weevil collections will be made in concentric patterns in commercial cotton fields.
