Attracticides for adult pest control

Problem: Dr. Lopez has shown that attracticides offer potential for controlling some cotton insect pests with reduced pesticide load on the environment but application technologies for specific attracticides have not been adequately explored.
Objective: Optimize application parameters and demonstrate how selected attracticides can be used for control of  selected cotton insect pests.
Approach: Provide cooperation and engineering support for attracticide protocols developed by Dr. Lopez and his CRADA partners.

Accomplishments:

Several aerial application approaches for attracticides were  developed and installed on the Cessna AgHusky.  Limited experience with the system has been gleaned from field studies.
