Summary: Aerial spray released from specific zones of the aerial spray boom on an AT402 spray plane was observed with a video camera mounted on the boom and water sensitive cards on the ground recorded deposition relative to the expected spray pattern. All nozzles, except the ones being studied, were turned off for any specific run and turbulence experienced by the spray was recorded with the video. The study provides insight into possible improvements in boom setup.
